As part of his programs in Sarajevo, Minister Tekin was welcomed by students and teachers upon arriving at the Turkish Maarif Foundation campus in Dobrinja.
Minister Tekin conversed with the students, who welcomed him with flags of Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He then toured the school buildings and received information from school administrators about the educational programs.
Minister Yusuf Tekin also toured the classrooms, sitting at the same desks as the students to listen to the lesson being taught by teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During his visit, Minister Tekin was accompanied by his wife, Ayşe Tekin, the Turkish Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sadık Babür Girgin, and representatives from Turkish institutions.
Visit to the Kovaci Martyrs Cemetery and Bascarsija in Sarajevo
Following his programs in the capital, Minister Tekin visited the Kovaci Martyrs Cemetery, where he laid flowers and offered prayers at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and the grave of Aliya Izetbegovic, the first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After visiting the martyrs cemetery, Tekin toured the historical Bascarsija and engaged in conversation with the local citizens.
